About

History

The Department of Vocational Studies initiated 3 years honours B.Sc. IT (Information Technology) program in 2007 under Ranchi University. In 2011, it came under the jurisdiction of Kolhan University, Chaibasa offering honours program in Computer Application and Business Administration in addition with B.Sc. IT program. B.B.A (Bachelor of Business Administration) and B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Application) programs were started in 2016 under CCG (Course Credit Grading) Semester system and B.Sc. IT program was started in 2017 under CBCS (Choice Based Credit) Semester system.

Academics

The department currently offers B.B.A, B.C.A, and B.Sc. IT programs under Four Year Under Graduate Program (FYUGP), as per the National Education Policy (NEP–2020).
