About
History
The Department of Hindi was initiated in 1954 as a separate department, for B. A.
Courses, affiliated from Bihar University. Later in 1960, It came under the Jurisdiction of Ranchi University,
followed by Kolhan University, Chaibasa 2009.Further M. A. Course was started in 1984.
Academics
The department currently offers B. A. General & Honours courses & M. A. Course in CBCS
Semester system. Since 2022, we have initiated the Four Year Under Graduate Program (FYUGP), as per the New
Education Policy (NEP-2020).
